Wat is tweestapsverificatie en waarom is het nodig?

NOA stapt over naar tweestapsverificatie, met als doel het verbeteren van de privacy en veiligheid van NOA Online en haar gebruikers. Tweestapsverificatie betekent dat u moet inloggen met uw e-mailadres, wachtwoord en één extra code. Deze extra code hoeft u maar één keer in de dertig dagen in te vullen, en krijgt u via een app of SMS op uw telefoon. Deze code voegt een extra beveiligingsniveau aan NOA Online toe en zorgt ervoor dat de persoonsgegevens, testresultaten en beheer van NOA Online nog beter worden beveiligd.

Wat is er veranderd?

Het invoeren van tweestapsverificatie heeft een paar gevolgen voor beheerders van NOA Online:

U moet inloggen met uw e-mailadres en wachtwoord.
U kunt alleen inloggen als er een mobiele telefoonnummer voor u bekend is in ons systeem. Mocht dit niet het geval zijn dan kunt u contact opnemen met de hoofdbeheerder van NOA Online binnen uw organisatie. Hij/zij kan uw telefoonnummer aan uw account toevoegen.
Elke individuele hoofdbeheerder en elke individuele projectbeheerder heeft eigen inloggegevens nodig.
Een extra code is nodig bij het inloggen. Dit hoeft maar eens in de dertig dagen ingevuld te worden.

Inloggen met de app

Inloggen met de app is sneller en eenvoudiger, maar kan alleen met een smartphone. Dit kan een iPhone, Android of een Windows Phone zijn. De app die u nodig heeft, is de Google Authenticator of de Microsoft Authenticator. Deze apps zijn te vinden in de Play Store, App Store of de Store. Om de app in te stellen volgt u de volgende stappen:

Ga naar NOA Online, log in met uw e-mailadres en wachtwoord en kies voor de app.
Valideer uw telefoonnummer door de ontbrekende cijfers van uw telefoonnummer aan te vullen. Klik op 'Volgende' om een SMS code naar uw telefoon te laten sturen. Vul deze code op het volgende scherm in.
Vervolgens wordt er uitgelegd hoe u de app kunt instellen. Vergeet niet de streepjescode te scannen voordat u op 'Volgende' klikt. Nadat u de streepjescode heeft gescand zal er een code verschijnen in de app. Klik op 'Volgende'.
Vul de code van de app in en klik op 'Volgende'. U bent nu ingelogd!
U kunt kiezen om de instellingen voor dertig dagen op uw computer te onthouden. Dit betekent dat u hierna dertig dagen lang geen extra code nodig heeft bij het inloggen op dezelfde computer.

Inloggen met SMS

Als u geen smartphone heeft, kunt u met een SMS code inloggen. Om met SMS in te loggen volgt u de volgende stappen:

Ga naar NOA Online, log in met uw e-mailadres en wachtwoord en kies voor SMS.
Valideer uw telefoonnummer door de ontbrekende cijfers van uw telefoonnummer aan te vullen. Klik op 'Volgende' om een SMS code naar uw telefoon te laten sturen. Vul deze code op het volgende scherm in.
Als u geen smartphone heeft kiest u “Nee” bij de vraag “Heeft u een Smartphone?”. Vervolgens klikt u op 'Volgende'. U bent nu ingelogd!
U kunt kiezen om de instellingen voor dertig dagen op uw computer. Dit betekent dat u hierna dertig dagen lang geen extra code nodig heeft bij het inloggen op dezelfde computer.

What is two factor authentication and why is it needed?

NOA is switching over to two factor authentication in order to improve the privacy and security of NOA Online and its users. Two factor authentication means that you will need to login with your e-mail address, password and an extra code. This extra code only needs to be filled in once every thirty days and can be received on your mobile phone via an app or an SMS code. This code adds an additional security level to NOA Online and ensures that personal information, test results and management of NOA Online is even more secure.

What has changed?

Implementation of NOA Online has a few consequences for NOA Online managers:

You have to login with your e-mail address and password.
You can only login if there is a mobile telephone number for you registered in our system. If this is not the case then you can contact the main manager for NOA Online within your organization. He or she can add your mobile phone number to your account.
Every individual main manager and any individual project managers needs their own login credentials.
An extra code is needed when logging in. This is needed once every thirty days.

Logging in with the app

Logging in with the app is quicker and simpler, but is only possible with a smartphone. This can be an iPhone, Android phone or a Windows Phone. The app you need is the Google Authenticator or the Microsoft Authenticator. You can find these in the Play Store, App Store, or the Store. To set up the app you need to follow the following steps:

Go to NOA Online, login with your e-mail address and password, and choose the app.
Validate your mobile phone number by filling in the missing digits of your phone number. Click on “Next” to send an SMS code to your mobile phone and fill the code in on the next screen.
Next you will see a screen explaining how you can install the app and set the app up. Don’t forget to scan the barcode on the right before you click on next. After you have scanned this barcode a code should appear in the app on your phone. Click on “Next”.
Fill in the code from the app and click on next. You are now logged in!
You can choose to remember these settings for thirty days on your computer. This means that you will not need to login with an extra code for the next thirty days when logging in on the same computer.

Logging in with SMS

If you don’t have a smartphone you can still log in with an SMS code. Follow these steps to log in with SMS:

Go to NOA Online, log in with your e-mail address and password, and choose for SMS.
Validate your mobile phone number by filling in the missing digits of your phone number. Click on “Next” to send an SMS code to your mobile phone and fill the code in on the next screen.
If you don’t have a smartphone then choose “No” for the question “Do you have a smartphone?”. Then click on next. You are now logged in!
